New year new site

Well it has been a long and not so painfull process but here it is finally! Our new site and new blog. There are probably a few glitches so bear with us! Big Thanks to Troy McCarthy who totaly redesigned our site and came up with the whole concept. He is amazing check him out! Also Big Thanks to Deluxe Modern Design who did our logo that we love! Here it is You will notice how we added a ton of new pictures form 2010 as well as a special comment section that links up to facebook! We love comments even if they are just saying hi! In my attempt to not suck at blogging I thought I would add a few sneak peaks of some projects I never blogged about! Also as you can tell our logo has changed and a new name has been added! That is because we are now Sam is officially part of the business. Our new site and blog are going to be launched this week so stay tuned!

I love planning and coming up with goals. I find that they are a really good way to conquior your stress levels. The second part of that I really like is then figuring out how to put things off so you don’t really feel bad for putting them off. For example I had this goal that I was going to blog every day last week and it was going to be mind blowing for every one who read my blog. So for Sara and my Grandmother I think the only people who ready my blog, there life was going to be amazing! So as you can probably see I did not blog last week or even the week after that. It was finaly sunny the fair was in town and lets face it I would rather be caught up on all the editing I had to do or be outside. So my new goal is to try to blog at all. Hopefully I can do that!

Now on to this amazing couple! I was a little nerviousl to meet them because I had only talked to them in email and had no idea what they were going to be like. However not only did I luck out and they were normal they were so much fun and we could not stop laughing. Check out them out to see all there sweet moves I hope they will be doing plenty of on there wedding day! Thank you so much Desiree again for being such a good assistant, camera card rescuer, lens cap finder, and good friend!

Engaged Steve and Kristen

I first met Steve and Kristen one million years ago. Ok slight exaggeration. I met Steve in High School I went to Petaluma high and he went to St Vincent’s. We had a lot of the same friends so that is when we started hanging out. After high school I went to Fresno State and like what happens most the time when you go away to school you forget about your homies back home. Anyways I was so caught up with my new life and my new friends I did not look back. Kristen was one of those people who I met the first week of my freshman year and she is impossible to not like. We had a lot in common with each other and even kept our horses at the same barn so we spent a lot of time together. The beginning of my second semester Steve came down to fresno state to play football and did not know any one. Steve was also into horses so I think he purely hung out with me so he could meet some “hot girls on the equestrian team”. I know where I stand Anyways it worked out well for him he quickly met Kristen and they hit it off and ditched me. Even though I was sad I got ditched I was really excited about this pair. Not only are they probably the two nicest people I know I can take credit for them being together! Who does not like that! Now almost 7 years later they are getting married this sumer at Edgewood resort in Tahoe! Unfortunately Kristen is making me wear a dress and be one of her bridesmaids so I don’t get to be there wedding photographer they humored me by letting me take their engagement pictures!

Steve and Kristen Engaged Sneak Peak!

I love coming home and looking through all of my pictures! That is the main reason why I love digital photography. However this is my first session that I also threw some film into the mix and that was a little strange. I love the way film photos look they have such a soft and romantic feel straight out of the camera and you feel like a real photographer. However you have to wait for the pictures to come back. You have to wait to see if they turned out. For those of you who know me I am really bad at waiting. I came home form this session today download my camera cards and then just looked at my film and realized all I could do was wait till monday when I could send it out… FAIL Oh well here is a sneak peak form my session today one of my digital shots. Hope you like it
